Well Living to 100+
Many people around the world are striving to reach the revered centurion club and living to 110 is within the human lifespan. But for most the initial goal is not finding a fountain of youth but finding how to live healthier. These two variables complement each other and has a lot of scientific research to back it up.
Getting to a healthier self is accomplished by making changes to lifestyle, diet, and exercise. Some of the simplest are making choices that we have been taught time and time again.
Choosing to abstain from smoking, excessive drinking, trans fats, keeping down excess body fat, and keeping a handle on blood pressure are simple but effective. While these are simple measures, for those that have not kept these in mind it can be a significant change as we get older. Passing up the cheesecake on the dessert cart, parking in the back of the parking lot so that you can walk more, avoiding drive thrus and fast food can seem impossible when an individual is set in their ways but making these changes can keep an individual healthy into their late golden years living happily healthy, and productive lives. It is never too late to make a change to your lifestyle encouraging an active, healthy life.
Another concern among older citizens is that the restrictions on lifestyle will not be worth living into old age in pain. But there is no way that you can say healthy living will hurt. If implemented early enough the chances are much higher that the life lived will be pain free and mobile. Lifestyle is the maintenance program for the body and without a healthy one the human machine will bind and break and eventually die. Ask a doctor that you trust about steps you can take to leading a healthier life and research all information that is available to you so you can make informed decisions about your lifestyle changes.
When researching and looking for information keep in mind that if it sounds too good to be true it probably is and there are many scams on the internet that target these people so always ask a doctor or dietician if you are unsure of techniques or diets. As always the key is to stay with it and make these changes your life. It takes roughly thirty days to create a habit and once this is created it will be easy to continue towards the prize and goal of all, living to a healthy old age.
